What is Territorial.io?
Territorial.io is a map-conquest strategy game built around territory and a growing balance. You select where to expand and how much strength to send, then judge the changing borders around you.
Your balance has more than one job
The same balance supports attacks, defense and economic growth. Sending too much outward leaves less behind and can weaken future growth. Coastlines, mountains and neighboring nations affect how many directions you must defend; more land is not automatically a safer position.
How to play Territorial.io
- Choose a map and a starting area with room to expand and manageable borders.
- Use small early attacks to claim nearby neutral land while allowing your balance to recover.
- Adjust the attack-percentage control before selecting a neighboring target.
- Pause between major attacks to inspect rival balances and your exposed borders, then choose expansion or consolidation.

An attack also changes your defense
Imagine committing most of your balance to one neighbor while another borders your opposite side. The new territory may be less valuable than the opening you have just created.
Tips for your next round
- Keep attacks purposeful instead of clicking repeatedly at every border.
- Use natural barriers to reduce the number of opponents who can reach you.
