Neon Defender is a twin-stick-style arcade shooter (using mouse/touch and auto-fire) set in a minimalist, cyberspace environment. Your mission is to survive endless waves of enemy ships, manage your shield integrity, and utilize powerful energy bombs to clear the grid.

🎯 Gameplay Mechanics

1. Control & Firepower

  • Movement: Control your ship's movement speed and position using Mouse or Touch Drag.
  • Auto-Fire: Your ship automatically fires high-velocity neon rounds at the enemies. The more accurate your aiming (by pointing the mouse/touch cursor), the more damage you deal.

2. Survival & Resources

  • Shield (Health): Represented by the SHIELD bar. Taking damage reduces shield integrity. If the bar hits zero, the mission results in a FATAL ERROR.
  • Energy (Bomb): The ENERGY bar charges automatically (and faster with enemy hits).
    • When fully charged (100%), the system is BOMB READY!
    • Activate: Press SPACE or Double Tap the screen to unleash a massive core discharge, wiping out all enemies on screen.

3. Enemies & Waves

  • Basic (Square): Standard threat, slow movement, moderate health.
  • Fast (Triangle): High-speed threat, low health; difficult to track.
  • Tank (Red Polygon): Slow but heavily armored target, high score reward.
  • Waves: Enemies arrive in increasing density and variety across continuous WAVES.

4. Combo & Scoring

  • Score: Earn points by destroying enemies, with harder enemies yielding more.
  • Combo Multiplier: Destroying enemies quickly and consecutively builds a COMBO multiplier (x1, x1.5, x2, etc.), significantly boosting your score.
  • Power-Ups: Collect health (HP) and energy power-ups to aid survival.
