What is Paper.io 2?
Paper.io 2 is a territory game with smooth steering and a simple goal: cover more of the map in your color. Unlike a pellet-eating snake game, growth comes from enclosing space and reconnecting to land you already own.
An unfinished loop is vulnerable
Leaving your territory creates an exposed trail. Completing the connection claims the enclosed area, but another player can eliminate you by touching the trail first. Avoid crossing your own unfinished trail as well. Larger loops offer more land and more time for somebody to interfere.
How to play Paper.io 2
- Start a browser round and steer a short distance beyond the edge of your colored area.
- Curve around a small patch of unclaimed ground while watching nearby opponents.
- Return to your existing territory to close the loop and fill the new area.
- Repeat from a safer edge, cutting a rival’s exposed trail only when you can still get home.

A loop must reach home
Owned area → exposed trail around empty ground → owned area again. The fill happens after reconnection; the unfinished outline is not protected territory.
Tips for your next round
- Prefer several controlled expansions to one enormous, exposed loop.
- Watch opponents’ heads while drawing; they show how quickly your trail could be reached.
