What is Taming.io?
Taming.io is a multiplayer survival game built around pets. Gathering, combat and age progression unlock equipment and structures, while your companion adds another set of abilities to the decisions you make.
Your pet is part of the fight
Pets have different strengths and abilities, so the same encounter can play differently with a new companion. Gathering resources supports your equipment and base. A base helps only if its position lets you keep gathering and recover from pressure.
How to play Taming.io
- Choose a starting pet and join a server, then gather nearby resources with your basic tool.
- Move with WASD or the arrow keys and use the mouse to aim and attack.
- Select upgrades as you age, and read the ability instructions for your pet.
- Build a small defensible base and use the pet’s abilities in manageable fights before challenging stronger opponents.

Two health bars deserve attention
An opening for your character may still put your pet in danger. Picture the companion’s approach as well as your own before starting a close fight.
Tips for your next round
- Choose a pet you can learn rather than switching after every defeat.
- Keep recovery supplies and avoid building so far from resources that every trip becomes risky.
