What is TETR.IO?
TETR.IO is a falling-block puzzle game with solo challenges and competitive multiplayer. Tetrominoes must be arranged into complete rows, while the pace and scoring depend on the selected mode.
A clean stack leaves room to recover
Completed rows clear from the board. In versus play, effective clears can send garbage to opponents, while incoming garbage raises your own stack. The hold slot and next-piece preview help you plan, but topping out still ends the round. Ranked matchmaking requires an account; some practice play is available anonymously.
How to play TETR.IO
- Join and inspect your movement, rotation, drop and hold bindings in Config.
- Start a solo mode such as Zen or 40 Lines to practice placing pieces without unnecessary holes.
- Read the next-piece preview and use hold when it solves the stack you are building.
- When ready for multiplayer, clear incoming garbage and preserve room to move instead of focusing only on a large attack.

Keep the well usable
Imagine a nearly complete set of rows with one vertical opening. A long piece can clear through that opening only if earlier placements have not covered its entrance.
Tips for your next round
- Choose accurate placements before trying to increase speed.
- If garbage rises, uncover its holes early so the next few pieces can lower the stack.
